Ellsbury To Replace Crisp In Game 6 Lineup

Online Petition Roots For The Rookie Outfielder

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Red Sox rookie outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury will replace Coca Crisp in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series.

Ellsbury is eighth in the lineup.

Terry Francona will speak at a 5 p.m. pregame news conference Saturday.

Many fans wanted to see Ellsbury play in Game 6, so much that thousands have signed an online petition started by an avid fan.

The petition, StartJacoby.com, collected signatures from fans who wanted to see Ellsbury start in place of Crisp. Crisp has hit just .161 in the post season. Ellsbury has seen little post-season action, but hit .353 in the regular season.
