A man is dead after crashing his car during an alleged argument with his wife, who was following him in another car.
According to police, the unidentified man was in a car arguing with his wife. At some point, he dropped her off on the side of the road in Jamaica Plain and she was picked up by a friend around 2 a.m. on Sunday.
Both cars were then traveling on Center Street at a high rate of speed when the crash happened, police said. The man crashed his car into the side of a building on Center Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still trying to determine if the crash was the result of a car chase. The wife told officers her husband was driving fast and disappeared from her view before she came upon the crash site.
Police say a large crowd had to be dispersed when some of them interfered with firefighters tending to the husband.
