Boston police have released surveillance video of the person wanted for killing a convenience store clerk in Jamaica Plain during a robbery Saturday.
39-year-old Surendra Dangol had clerked at the Tedeschi's on Centre Street only a few days before he was shot December 26.
THE VIDEO
Security cameras captured images of the shooter and the getaway car, a white 1989-to-1994 Plymouth Acclaim, similar to a Dodge K car, seen speeding toward the Jamaica Way immediately after the shooting.
Watch: The Surveillance Video
Boston police released that video Tuesday in a news conference with reporters at police headquarters.
THE GUNMAN
Investigators believe the shooter was a man, even though he is wearing a woman's wig and dressed in a heavy coat.
In the video, the clerk appears to cooperate with the robber, loading money into a bag.
But he was shot to death moments later. Police did not show or release that part of the video.
"We hope the release of this videotape will help us to get information that we need to identify and apprehend a very dangerous individual who committed this senseless and horrific crime," said police superintendent Dan Linskey.
WITNESSES?
Police say there were people outside the store during the shooting. One was waiting for an MBTA bus, the other was sitting on a bench.
