Fist Fight Forces Flight From Logan To Be Diverted

BOSTON (WBZ) ― A Jet Blue flight from Boston to Fort Lauderdale had to be diverted Friday night when three people got in a fight on the plane because one was smoking in the bathroom, Raleigh-Durham Airport officials said. 

Three men were involved in the altercation on Jet Blue Flight 455, officials said. The fight broke out around 7 p.m., forcing the pilot to arrange to land in Raleigh.

According to officials, one of the men was punched in the face and another was taken into custody once the plane docked.

No other passengers were injured.

Rebecca Lundrigan of Boxford told WBZ her sister was aboard the flight. Lundrigan said shortly after the flight docked in Raleigh the plane took off for Ft. Lauderdale.

It unknown if any charges have been brought in the case.
