Boston's Biggest Stars Highlight Esplanade Concert


BOSTON (CBS4) ― Tuesday night's 4th of July concert at the Hatch Shell will feature several of Boston's biggest stars.

The concert will start with Massachusetts' own American Idol. Wrentham native, 17-year-old Ayla Brown will open the evening singing the national anthem.

CBS4's Jack Williams will recite a special holiday tribute "American voices," which features excerpts from some of our nation's most famous writings.

The acapella group "Rockapella" will join the Boston Pops orchestra for a few songs.

Then the main event, a special collaboration between Boston's best bands: the Pops and Aerosmith.

It will be Steven Tyler's first big performance since his recent throat surgery. You can watch all of the festivities live, on CBS4 and catch the highlights posted shortly after they happen, here on cbs4boston.com.
