Mellencamp, Ferguson Headline Boston's July 4 Show

BOSTON (WBZ) ― John Mellencamp will rock with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Orchestra on the Esplanade this fourth of July.

The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular will be hosted by CBS' Late Late Show star, Craig Ferguson.

The concert will also feature its traditional piece, the Boston Pops rendition of the "1812" Overture. The final 23 minutes of the telecast, featuring the fireworks display, will be presented commercial free by the Liberty Mutual Group.

Some 500,000 people typically pack Boston's Charles River Esplanade for the annual extravaganza.

You can watch the CBS Television Network special exclusively on WBZ-TV on Wednesday, July 4 at 10PM. And, tune in for the live, local special featuring the WBZ-TV News team beginning at 7PM and the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular with anchors Lisa Hughes and Jack Williams at 8PM.
