The family of an East Bridgewater man whose murder 17 years ago remains unsolved held a vigil in his memory Saturday evening.
Kent "Rusty" Taber Jr. was found stabbed to death inside his apartment in December 1992.
His family told The Enterprise of Brockton it held the vigil across from the police station to celebrate Taber's 54th birthday and to renew interest in the case.
Authorities say Taber was stabbed so many times that his head was almost severed.
The pizza he had just picked up and two beers were on his coffee table. Because nothing was taken from his apartment, his family thinks he was killed by someone he knew.
His brother, Scott, says "someone knows what happened."
