There are bittersweet emotions this week for the family of a North Attleboro Marine who was killed in Afghanistan last month.
The wife of Marine Capt. Kyle Van DeGiesen has given birth to the couple's second child, according to the
Sun Chronicle.
Meghan Van DeGiesen gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Colin Joseph Tuesday afternoon.
He weighs six pounds, eight ounces.
Colin was born just days after his father was buried, and coincidentally, on the Marine Corps 234th birthday.
Kyle Van DeGiesen was killedÂ
Oct. 26 in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
He was 29 years old.
