Gas Line Ruptures At Lahey Clinic

PEABODY (WBZ) ― A gas leak at Lahey Clinic in Peabody Saturday prevented ambulances from bringing patients to the hospital for a time.

While no one was evacuated because of the gas leak, Lahey Clinic officials said, ambulances were not let into the emergency room area.

Crews worked to repair the ruptured gas main that may have happened behind the hospital where construction was under way.

The exact cause of the leak is still unknown.
