Man Killed In Shooting Near Lawrence Club

LAWRENCE (WBZ) ― One man was killed and another man was critically injured in a shooting outside a Lawrence nightclub early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. near Punto Final Dance Club, police said.

Julio Zunigo of Haverhill, was killed.

His friend, Roberto Francisco Sanchez Rios, is in critical condition at a Boston hospital, but is expected to survive, police said.

So far, there have been no arrests. Police say they are looking for two suspects who fled in a vehicle.

It is not known if an argument inside the club triggered the shooting.

According to Lawrence police, there have been issues at the club before.
