Leominster Police are seeking the public's help after two men sexually assaulted a woman in her 50's who was walking in the Pleasant and Adams Street area last Thursday night.
It was 7:30 p.m. and still plenty of daylight when a maroon colored van pulled up to the victim, words were exchanged, and police say the two men forced the woman into the back of the vehicle so quickly that no one witnessed it in the busy area.
"If no one saw anything it had to have happened in five seconds probably, open the door, in, and gone," said neighbor Tom Crowley.
Police are looking for a black male, approximately 40 years old, with a long scar across his right cheek, and a tattoo on his upper right arm of an older woman and the word Mom or Mother.
Also, an hispanic male about 35 years old with a missing front tooth. The name "Maria" is tattooed across the fingers of his left hand. Police say the descriptions are so detailed they hope it will be enough for someone to come forward with information.
"This woman was unbelievable in obtaining what she did," said Leominster police detective Tom Cuddahy. "She's a strong woman."
He says she was taken to an undisclosed location in Leominster and attacked before the predators finally left her and she was able to walk home.
The details are disturbing for residents in the area.
"Whoever was in the van had to be scouting the area, knew what to look for, nobody was around and it was the time to make the move," said Denise Jacob.
