A man was beaten to death inside a Lowell sub shop early Sunday morning, police said.

The victim, who has not been identified, was found at Santoro's sub shop on Gorham Street. He was rushed to a Boston hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one has been arrested for this murder, but police say they are investigating. "We are conducting an active investigation into this incident and are following any and all leads at this time," said District Attorney Gerry Leone.
