Man Critical In Lowell Double Shooting

LOWELL (AP) ― Two people were shot, one in the head and one in the leg, in Lowell early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened around 3 a.m. on Howard Street. Police say the man who was shot in the head is in critical condition at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

The second victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, and is expected to be OK.

Police are trying to determine what led up to the shooting.

No arrests have been made.
