Convenient Store Shooting Leaves 1 Man Dead

LOWELL (WBZ) ― Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Lowell early Sunday morning.

According to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, the shooting happened at 2 a.m. outside the Seven-Eleven store on the corner of Westford and Chelmsford Streets.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Jose Villanueva, 36, of Lowell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the D.A.'s office.

Villanueva was rushed to Lowell General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are still looking for suspects involved in the shooting.
