Malden Police Investigate Attempted Abduction

MALDEN, Mass. (WBZ) ― Malden police are searching for a man suspected of trying to kidnap a 9-year-old boy who was walking home alone Tuesday afternoon in the area of Highland Avenue and Adams Street.

Police said around 3 p.m., a man in a red Nissan asked the boy if he wanted a ride home. The child refused and ran away.

Police have not released a composite sketch of the suspect.

The man is described as a 30-to 40-year-old with no facial hair.
