Police Shoot, Kill Bank Robbery Suspect

BOSTON (WBZ) ― One person is dead and another person is in police custody after an apparent bank robbery in Mansfield on Thursday.

According to state police, Mansfield police responded to a bank on Copeland Drove, where witnesses gave officials information about the robbery suspects and the car they were driving.

Officials say the vehicle was spotted a short time later on School Street and stopped by police. Both suspects got out of the car, and that's when shots were fired.

One of the suspects was killed. Police say the "suspect was shot by police after making furtive motions, reaching for something and failing to comply with numerous police orders."

This incident remains under investigation.
