2 Mass. Most Wanted Sex Offenders Behind Bars
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Two of Massachusetts' most sex offenders were arrested this week.
One was arrested in Texas where police said he was hiding out at his parent's house.
Eric Conalty, 38, was wanted on charges of committing unnatural acts with a child under 16 and failure to register as a sex offender in Massachusetts. Conalty is considered a high risk level 3 sex offender after he was convicted in 2000 for indecent assault and battery on a child and contributing to the delinquency of a child.
Police said State police got information that Conalty had left the state to hide out at his parents' house, saying he was "trying to not show his face in public."
A second Mass. Most Wanted sex offender, Shayne Sampson, turned himself into Clinton police on Friday. Sampson, 48, was wanted for violating probation after he was convicted of assaulting a child under 14 years old in addition to charges of disseminating obscene material to a minor and open and gross lewdness. Sampson is also considered a high risk level 3 sex offender.
In August, police arrested Edward Bueno, 34, who was listed on Massachusetts Most Wanted sex offender list, bringing the total number of most wanted sex offender arrests in the state to three.
There are seven others listed on
