Cape Massage Therapist Accused Of Sex Assault

DENNIS (WBZ) ― A Cape Cod massage therapist is accused of assaulting several female patients. David Hartman of Sandwich appeared in Orleans District Court Friday morning, charged with indecent assault.

Hartman, 45, operates Lighthouse Massage on Route 6A in East Dennis. A female patient told police that she went to see Hartman in May for a therapeutic massage, and was sexually assaulted.

Hartman was arrested Thursday at his massage therapy office. He is now free on bail.

"There was no force used but he is a large gentleman and she was intimidated by him," said Dennis police Capt. Bill Monahan.

Since the first woman's allegations, prosecutors say two more women have come forward telling similar stories.

According to the Lighthouse Massage web site, Hartman has more than 20 years experience in massage therapy. He is married and has two daughters.
