An Everett man is accused of groping a woman on the T Tuesday, becoming the second man in a week to be arrested on groping charges.
Jose Velasquez, 57, was arrested Wednesday and charged with indecent assault and battery for allegedly groping a Mattapan woman between Orange Line stops Tuesday evening.
He is ordered to stay off the MBTA and to stay away from the victim.
The 51-year-old woman told police she had been riding outbound to Forest Hills when the train stopped after the Green Street station. The woman said while passengers waited, Velasquez started talking to her and then touched the right side of her body. The woman says she told Velasquez to stop but says he continued touching her and even groped her from behind as she stood and moved away from him.
The woman called transit police from her cell phone and pointed Velasquez out to police as she got off the train at Forest Hills, police said.
Earlier this week, 24-year-old Jose Carlos Delacruz was arrested on similar charges. Police say
Delacruz groped four women on the T. He is also accused of pushing a man violently in the chest.
Delacruz is charged with assault and battery, indecent assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
