A suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a teenager aboard an MBTA bus in Boston last year, a case that prompted the transit system to
install surveillance cameras on dozens of buses.
Boston police and the Suffolk District Attorney's office announced Tuesday that a murder warrant had been issued for 19-year-old Jonathan Sanders, who is currently jailed on an unrelated probation violation.
Eighteen-year-old
Dwayne Graham was gunned down in a daytime shooting in March 2007 aboard a crowded bus stopped at Washington Street and Columbia Road.
Less than a week after the slaying, the MBTA's board voted to spend $1.4 million to install security cameras on 155 buses that serve inner-city neighborhoods.
Graham is tentatively scheduled for arraignment Thursday in Dorchester District Court.
