Police: Mass. Fugitive Spotted In Oregon
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
A fugitive wanted after allegedly terrorizing and sexually assaulting a 61-year-old Winchendon woman last year has been spotted in Oregon.
State police said Wednesday that 36-year-old Michael Bresnahan, one of Massachusetts Most Wanted fugitives, was seen Saturday buying camping gear at a Walmart in Springfield, Ore.
Police confirmed it was Bresnahan using an image taken from a Walmart security camera.
Police say he was later seen hitchhiking on a local highway.
They say Bresnahan frequents truck stops and may hitchhike with truck drivers.
Police say Bresnahan broke into his alleged victim's house last August and used a knife to hold her hostage for more than two hours while assaulting her.
Bresnahan is described as a white man about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown hair when his head is not shaved and blue eyes.
He has several tattoos, including a woman on his chest, a music note on his wrist and a rose and a heart on his right forearm.
Anyone with information about Bresnahan is asked to call state police at 1.800.527.8873.
