Missing Boy Found Safe In Douglas State Forest

DOUGLAS (WBZ) ― An autistic boy reported missing in Douglas State Forest was found safe Saturday afternoon.

5-year-old Jacob Preston Dalo of Pascoag, Rhode Island was with a worker when he wandered off into the woods by himself around 10 a.m.

State police had a helicopter, K-9's and troopers searching for the boy.

He was found around 1 p.m. when someone saw him on a trail and called 911.

Douglas State Forest is about 15 miles south of Worcester, near the Rhode Island and Connecticut border.
