Missing Kayaker Found Dead In N.H.

RYE, N.H. (WBZ) ― The body of a missing 59-year-old kayaker was found Friday on the shore of Lunging Island in New Hampshire, the Coast Guard said Saturday.

Hamilton Wood, of Contoocook, N.H., went missing in late February while he was kayaking in the area of Boon Island.

When Wood went missing, there were wind gusts of up to 45 mph. He was wearing a life jacket and a wet suit.

The water temperature in the area is 37 degrees.

An autopsy identified a man whose body was found Friday as Wood.
