New Clue In Search For Missing Cape Man

There is a new clue in the desperate search for an elderly Cape man who has now been missing for a week.
Barnstable police have been searching for 80-year-old
Robert Ouellette of Cotuit since Dec. 30.
"He never goes out anywhere and when he goes out, he's only gone for an hour, an hour-and-a-half," his wife Virginia told WBZ. The Ouellettes have been married for 56 years.
Virginia said she last saw her husband around 3:30 p.m. last Tuesday leaving a Mercury dealership on Airport Road. He was driving his 2000 light blue Mercury Marquis with the Massachusetts license plate 472BXC.
On Monday, investigators released surveillance photos from a Christy's convenience store in Falmouth that showed Ouellette asking a clerk for directions around 4 p.m. that day.
Virginia is convinced the man in the photos is her husband.
"Oh yes, definitely, there's no doubt about that," she said. "As soon as you saw the pictures there was no doubt about it."
The store is about 7 miles from Ouellette's home in Cotuit.
Investigators say he asked the clerk for directions to Cotuit and then asked the same question to a person in the parking lot, before he drove off - in the wrong direction.
"I think that if (the car) was off the side of the road or broken down somewhere, somebody, an air wing or somebody would have come across it and they haven't," said Barnstable police Sgt. Sean Sweeney.
His family said he had little money on him, no credit cards and no cell phone.
They say he has several health problems and he takes at least 22 medications every day.
Ouellette has gray hair and wears glasses. He was wearing a baseball hat in the surveillance photos.
