N.H. Moose Hunt Begins Saturday

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) ― New Hampshire's nine-day moose hunt begins Saturday for 515 lucky hunting permit holders.

The permits were drawn in a lottery and each hunter is assigned to one of 22 wildlife management units in the state. Most spent weeks scouting potential hunting spots. Each hunter may be accompanied by one partner.

Last fall, hunters took 482 moose.
