DA: Murder Victim 'Dismembered, Cooked'

WRENTHAM (WBZ) ― A Massachusetts Turnpike toll collector and an assistant football coach at Xaverian Brothers High School have been charged with a brutal murder.

47-year-old Daniel Bradley of Westwood and 48-year-old Paul Moccia of Dedham were ordered held without bail at their arraignment in Wrentham District Court Monday afternoon.

Norfolk County prosecutors say Bradley, the football coach, and Moccia, the toll taker, killed 37-year-old Angel Antonio Ramirez, a Guatemalan national living in Framingham.

He was last seen on March 20.

Prosecutors say Ramirez was a cocaine dealer and Moccia was one of his distributors, but Moccia owed Ramirez $70,000 in drug debts and wasn't going to pay him.

Investigators say Moccia arranged a meeting with Ramirez on March 20 and shot him in the back.

Moccia then allegedly had his childhood friend Bradley dispose of the body at Bradley's concrete company in Walpole. "He was dismembered and then eventually… he was cooked," said prosecutor Bob Nelson.

But police say they found drops of blood at the concrete company.  They're now doing DNA tests on them. "Members of crime scene services discovered at least five areas of blood. They obtained enough of a sample to do DNA work."

Bradley and Moccia were arrested at their homes Friday night. They're charged with first-degree murder.

Bradley's attorney maintained his client's innocence. "There is not any direct evidence linking him to this terrible incident, if it even occurred," said defense attorney Charles Tamuleviz.

Moccia has been suspended without pay from the Pike, pending a disciplinary hearing.

Xaverian would not comment on Bradley's job status, but released this statement: "We are taking steps immediately to provide information and counseling to any students, parents, alumni, trustees, staff and faculty concerned about the very serious nature of the charges."
