Boston Holds 1st Ever National Running Day

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Boston will be holding the first everĀ National Running Day on Wednesday.

The Boston Athletic Association and USA Track & Field - New England invite runners and non-runners to come run with four-time Boston Marathon champion Bill Rodgers.

On Wednesday, June 3 at 6 p.m. the 61-year-old will lead anyone who wants to run through a mile at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's outdoor track facility in Cambridge, Mass.

National Running Day is a country-wide effort to promote the sport in the United States. Activities will take place in major cities across the country.
Anyone can sign up – adults, youths and kids. There is no fee.
