Boston Holds 1st Ever National Running Day
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Boston will be holding the first everĀ
National Running Day on Wednesday.
The Boston Athletic Association and USA Track & Field - New England invite runners and non-runners to come run with four-time Boston Marathon champion Bill Rodgers.
On Wednesday, June 3 at 6 p.m. the 61-year-old will lead anyone who wants to run through a mile at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's outdoor track facility in Cambridge, Mass.
National Running Day is a country-wide effort to promote the sport in the United States. Activities will take place in major cities across the country.
Anyone can sign up adults, youths and kids. There is no fee.
