Report: Naked Man On Flight With Revs From Hudson
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
The Boston Herald is reporting that the naked man who tried to open an emergency door aboard a flight from Boston to Los Angeles is from Hudson, Mass.
Some New England Revolution members were on board the same flight and helped subdue a naked Justin Sones as he tried to open the emergency exit, the Herald reports.
Sones, a former high school football standout, remains in a crisis center following Friday's bizarre events, the Herald reports.
The FBI has not confirmed the identity of the man who ran up and down the aisles naked prior to attempting to open the plane's door mid-flight.
The flight had to be diverted to Oklahoma.
Officials have credited the Revolution members for helping to stop the man, though officials said no physical confrontation occurred. The Revs were able to bring the man back to his seat where flight attendants used tie wraps to strap him down. He was removed from the flight in Oklahoma City.
The Revolution personnel on the flight included goalkeepers coach Gwynnne Williams, general manager Craig Tornberg, and director of soccer Mike Burns. Burns was born and raised in Marlboro and played for the Revolution from 1996 until 2000.
