A Rochester, New Hampshire woman turned herself into police after she was accused of stealing about $80,000 from the accounts of a Portsmouth law firm.

Desiree McLoughlin, 37, turned herself into Portsmouth police on Friday evening. She is charged with two counts of theft and one count of theft by misapplication of property.

Her arrest follows an eight-month investigation into the missing money.

Police said McLoughlin cooperated with the investigation and was released on $50,000 personal recognizance bail. She is scheduled to be arraigned on June 22.
