You've seen the ads. It has been a bitter battle for a U.S. Senate seat in New Hampshire.
First term Sen. John Sununu is facing a tough challenge from former New Hampshire Gov. Jeanne Shaheen.
The race is a rematch from a tight race six years ago.
Voters know both candidates well. Recent polls show Sununu is narrowing the gap. He says the race is about leadership, and Shaheen is running on the message of change.
Shaheen hit Main Street in Nashua Monday morning with a message. "We're working hard, trying to make sure we get every vote out. I think people are desperate for change tomorrow, and I hope that means a vote for Jeanne Shaheen."
Across the city, Sen. John Sununu made his pitch to a crowd of employees at BAE Systems. "As a candidate, Jeanne Shaheen represents the past," he said. "She didn't deal with education funding, trying to give us a sales tax That's certainly not the change we need."
Sununu volunteers pounded the pavement, spreading their message one flyer at a time.
Shaheen's team was making the final push on the phones.
For people getting these calls, they never seem to stop. If you've already decided, caller ID becomes your best friend. "Our machine announces who's calling," said Courtney D'Allessio of Manchester. "If we suspect it's a political party, we don't answer it."
Even with all the ads, flyrs and phone calls, both sides say polls show about 9 to 10 percent of voters say they are still undecided in the New Hampshire senate race.
There have been so many ads aired for this race because the National Democratic Party targeted the Shaheen-Sununu race as one of the most vulnerable Republican senate seats in the county, so both sides have poured millions of dollars into this race.
