N.H. Woman Votes On Way To Deliver Baby
NASHUA (AP) ―
With the birth of her second child imminent, a Nashua, N.H., woman jumped in the car with her family -- and headed to the polls.
When Shawna Fitzpatrick's water broke at 3 a.m. Tuesday, they headed to the Ledge Street School to wait for the polls to open.
A witness said no one objected when Fitzpatrick was moved to the front of the line. She and her husband, James, voted then headed to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, where she had a baby daughter Tuesday afternoon.
