Woman Charged With Tossing Baby In Car Seat

NASHUA, N.H. (WBZ) ― A young woman in New Hampshire faces a felony charge for allegedly tossing her infant nephew out of her apartment in a car seat.

Nashua police say 19-year-old Amanda Arthur was arguing with her brother and wanted him to leave her apartment on Amherst Street Wednesday morning.

She then allegedly grabbed the car seat with his 5-month-old son and threw it out into the hallway.

The car seat landed upside down. The boy has minor face cuts and was not seriously hurt.

Arthur is charged with second-degree assault, which is a Class B felony. If convicted, she faces up to seven years in prison.
