N.H. Cop Shot In Chest By Fellow Offiicer
CONCORD, N.H. (WBZ) ―
Officials are investigating a police shooting in Concord, New Hampshire. Attorney General Kelly Ayotte says a police officer's gun fired and hit a fellow officer in the chest.
The officer who was hit was wearing a bullet-proof vest and only suffered minor injuries.
According to Ayotte, the officers were inside the Granite State Credit Union Building on Sheep Davis Road around 4:30 a.m. when the shooting happened.
The officer who was hit was treated and released from Concord Hospital.
According to Jeff Strelzin of the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office, only police officers were in the building at the time of the shooting.
Officials say the bank is under construction and not open for business.
The identities of the officers are not being released at this time. The shooting remains under investigation.
No other officers were injured in the incident.
