A Salem teen is accused of using blue flashing lights in his car to try to pull over a vehicle on Pelham Road in Salem overnight.
Salem police say 19-year-old David Lynch was driving a green Honda Civic with the lights flashing in the grill when he tried to pull over a car.
The victim told police the suspicious car followed him all the way to his home but then drove off. The victim then called police and followed the Honda to the area of Manor Parkway.
Police then pulled the Honda over. They say they noticed the blue lights in the car, and a switch to operate them had been installed in the vehicle.
Lynch told police he thought he was flashing his blue lights at a friend's car.
He was arrested and faces felony charges of false impersonation and emergency lights. He was released on $2,500 cash bail pending his arraignment.
