Survivor Of Horrific NH Attack Returns Home

MONT VERNON, N.H. (WBZ) ― The New Hampshire sixth-grader who survived a horrific attack inside her own home is now out of the hospital.

11-year old Jaimie Cates returned to her Mont Vernon home last Friday, according to the Union Leader.

It was inside that home where Cates was severely wounded - and her mother killed - during a home invasion and robbery earlier this month.

The paper says Jaimie is in a wheelchair, but she has enjoyed the company of close friends who helped her decorate a giant pumpkin.

She also keeps up with school work from home and hopes to rejoin her classmates in school at some point.

The Cates family is expected to issue a public statement soon.

Four young men have been charged in the attack.
