NH Couple On Jet That Overshoots Runway In Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) ― A New Hampshire couple is among the 154 people who survived on an American Airlines plane that skidded off a rain-soaked runway in Kingston, Jamaica.
 
Passenger Pilar Abaurrea of Keene, N.H., described a chaotic scene after the plane hit the ground with a loud crash Tuesday night.
 
The 62-year-old woman who was traveling with her husband says there was panic after the plane hit the ground.

Jamaican airport officials say 44 passengers were taken to nearby hospitals with broken bones and back pains.

Four people were seriously injured.
 
American Airlines flight 331 originated at Reagan National Airport in Washington with a stop in Miami.
