5th Suspect In NH Murder: 'Get Me Out'

NASHUA, N.H. (WBZ) ― A Hollis, New Hampshire man went before a judge Thursday for a second time in connection with an alleged cover-up of the brutal attack on a Mount Vernon mother and daughter.

THE NEW SUSPECT

20-year old Autumn Savoy is accused of helping to destroy physical evidence and providing a false alibi for the alleged killers who are Savoy's friends.

As he was escorted into the hearing Thursday, he said "I love you… get me out" to loved ones sitting in the courtroom.

THE VICTIMS

Kimberly Cates was killed in her bed with a machete in the early morning hours of October 4th.

Her 11-year old daughter was severely wounded but survived the attack.

THE SUSPECTS

Christopher Gribble and Steven Spader, both from Brookline, New Hampshire, have been charged with murder and attempted murder.

Prosecutors say they chose the Mount Vernon home at random with the intention to rob and kill.

Two other men, William Marks and Quinn Glover of Amherst, New Hampshire, face charges of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, and armed robbery.

SAVOY'S ALLEGED ROLE

Gribble and Spader allegedly went to Savoy's home in Hollis after the slayings.

That's when prosecutors say Savoy helped toss a bag of bloody clothes into the Nashua River and concoct an alibi for his friends.

Since the crimes took place in different jurisdictions, Savoy is charged in two different courts.

He was arraigned in Milford Wednesday for hindering prosecution and conspiracy to commit hindering prosecution.

Savoy was charged Thursday in Nashua with destroying evidence.

After the arraignment, his family and friends left in tears and had no comment.

Savoy is being held on $100,000 bail.

He is scheduled for separate probable cause hearings in early December in each court.

Prosecutor Peter Hinckley told WBZ he plans to file a motion to consolidate the two cases.
