Bacteria Warnings At 5 N.H. Beaches
CONCORD, N.H. (WBZ) ―
Warnings have been posted at five New Hampshire beaches because of poor water quality.
State environmental officials are advising swimmers of
high bacteria levels at:
Pirates Cove Beach, Coastal Beach, Rye
Lake Winnisquam Beach, Sanbornton
Bartlett Beach, Lake Winnisquam, Laconia
Weirs Beach, Lake Winnipesaukee, Laconia
Opechee Park Beach, Opechee Lake, Laconia
The state conducts monthly tests at 170 inland beaches during the summer. Coastal beaches are inspected weekly or bi-weekly during the summer season.
