Mom Charged In Brutal Beating Returns To N.H.
WEBSTER, N.H. (WBZ) ―
The woman accused of beating her stepdaughter for hours in their home has agreed to return to New Hampshire from Florida to face charges.
Cara LeBlanc, 29, of Webster, New Hampshire, was arrested in Cape Coral, Florida Tuesday afternoon. She appeared in a Florida courtroom on Wednesday, where she waived extradition.
Police allege LeBlanc repeatedly dragged her 8-year-old stepchild to the top of a flight of stairs and pushed her down while her hands and feet were tied. LeBlanc is also accused of beating the girl with a belt for nine hours until it broke.
Sometime after the alleged beating, LeBlanc flew down the Florida.
LeBlanc, who was being held in Florida on a fugitive warrant, is charged with first-degree assault and criminal restraint, police said.
