Former governor
Jeanne Shaheen has an 8-point lead over
Sen. John Sununu in the race for his U.S. Senate seat in New Hampshire.
According to
Survey USA, Shaheen holds a 48-to-40 lead in a poll of 647 likely New Hampshire voters, less than a month before Election Day.
Libertarian Ken Blevens has 7-percent. Researchers say he appears to be taking just enough votes from Sununu to put his hold on the seat in jeopardy. Some may be protesting Sununu's vote for the $700 billion bailout bill as a reason.
4-percent of those polled are still undecided.

Sununu beat Shaheen in the 2002 race, 51-to-46 percent. Blevens had 2-percent.
Sununu and Shaheen will attend a business luncheon forum at Saint Anselm's Institute of Politics in Manchester Monday afternoon.
