NH Cops Selling Doughnuts For A Good Cause

BERLIN, N.H. (AP) ― Chocolate Conviction, Plea Bargain Plain and Misdemeanor Maple are among the doughnut flavors being sold by some New Hampshire police officers who aren't afraid to poke fun at themselves.

Embracing the stereotype that officers are fond of doughnuts, the Berlin Police Department has created the Cop Shoppe to raise money for charity, including a program that provides holiday gifts for local families.

Officers have raised about $500 so far by selling the doughnuts at community festivals and events. They're considering expanding their offerings to include Aggravated Apple, Negligent Nutmeg and Pretrial Peppermint.
