Officials: Mass. Registered Plane Crashes In N.H.
BRISTOL, N.H. (AP) ―
A small plane crashed in Bristol, New Hampshire as it was taking off from a local airport, and officials said two people were injured and taken to hospitals.
Bristol's deputy fire chief Skip Moyer said the two-engine, red plane crashed at about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in some trees at the end of Newfound Valley Airport, and hit some power lines.
He said the plane had significant damage. He said the tail was torn off and the wings were twisted.
The plane had collapsed around the man and woman inside and firefighters had to remove them using special equipment. Their names were not released.
Moyer said the extent of their injuries were not known. One was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon and the other to Franklin Regional Hospital.
WMUR-TV reported that the plane is registered to an owner in Massachusetts.
