Seal Tries To Bite NH Homeowner

A young Canadian harp seal caused quite a stir in a New Hampshire neighborhood Friday.

The seal crawled over the dunes on the Seabrook coast and wandered into a backyard on Atlantic Ave.

According to Tony LaCasse at the New England Aquarium, it tried to bite the homeowner when she tried to move it.

Marine biologists were trying to get the seal out Friday afternoon.

It weighs about 70 pounds.

LaCasse said another seal tried to bite a person in Quincy last week.

He said if you see one, stay away from it.
