Fisher Cats Have Veggie-Friendliest Ballpark
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) ―
The portobello mushroom salad and grilled vegetable sandwiches are among the home runs at the minor league ballpark in Manchester, N.H., according to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
For the second year in a row, the MerchantsAuto.com Stadium, home of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, is No. 1t in PETA's annual ranking of the top 10 vegetarian-friendly minor-league ballparks.
Vsitors can get vegetarian burgers, veggie dogs, wraps, and various salads.
Rounding out the top 10 are Frontier Field (Rochester, N.Y., Red Wings), PGE Park (Portland, Ore., Beavers), Harry Grove Stadium (Frederick, Md., Keys), Durham Bulls Athletic Park (Durham, N.C., Bulls), Recreation Park (Visalia, Calif., Rawhide), Fifth Third Field (Dayton, Ohio, Dragons), AutoZone Park (Memphis, Tenn., Redbirds), Nat Bailey Stadium (Vancouver Canadians), and FirstEnergy Ballpark (Lakewood, N.J., BlueClaws).
