Chemical Spill Evacuates Northeastern Building

BOSTON (WBZ) ― There is still no word on what caused a chemical leak at Northeastern University Saturday night.

Police say they initially got a call about an explosion, but it now appears there was some sort of chemical leak inside a third floor lab at the Egan Research Center on Forsyth Street.

The building was evacuated and Forsyth Street was blocked off at Huntington Avenue.

No one was hurt in the incident.
