A Boston police officer shot and wounded a teenager when his gun went off during a struggle Wednesday night in East Boston.
The officer tried to stop a car on Princeton Street just before 9 p.m. as part of an undercover drug investigation. That's when the struggle began with the 18-year-old.
The teen was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital with a non life-threatening wound to the chest.
The officer was also taken to the hospital as a precaution to be treated for stress.
Police have not identified the officer or the teenager.
Investigators say one person is under arrest in addition to the shooting victim.
