Boston Parking Space Sells For Record $300K

While parking spaces in downtown Boston are difficult to come by, none have sold for $300,000 -– until now.

On Wednesday, a parking space at 480 Commonwealth Avenue sold for a record-breaking $300,000 when a resident outbid others for the spot, the Boston Herald reported.

The outdoor, uncovered parking space's asking price was $250,000.

The space is one block from the Public Garden where parking is scarce. In the same building where the space was sold there is a two-bedroom suite for sale for $2.5 million.

The previous parking space record price was set in 2007 when a space sold for $250,000.
