Bristol County Prosecutor Charged With Sex Assault

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Bristol County Assistant District Attorney Pete "Joe" Costanza was arraigned Monday morning on charges of sexual assault.

Police responded to a call Friday afternoon from a female who claimed that Costanza, 39, had assaulted her in the courthouse. According to The Sun Chronicle, the alleged victim in 17-year old.

Investigators arrested Costanza at his home on Sunday and transported him to the Attleboro Police Department to await his court appearance.

Costanza is being charged with assault and battery, battery on a person over the age of 14, and attempted extortion.
