Pilot Survives N.H. Ocean Crash

RYE, N.H. (WBZ) ― A pilot is being checked out at the hospital after surviving a plane crash into the ocean.

The Coast Guard and emergency crews from Rye and Portsmouth responded to the crash, which happened just after 5 p.m. Friday off of Straw's Point.

The pilot, who was not injured, was picked up by a Portsmouth Fire Department boat. He is expected to be OK.

The cause of the crash is unknown. Rescue crews and investigators were on scene.
