State Police Cruiser Hit By Alleged Drunk Driver

BRAINTREE (WBZ) ― A state police cruiser was hit by an alleged drunk driver on I-93 in Braintree early Sunday morning.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway near exit 6. According to police, the officer was not inside the cruiser when it was hit.

The driver of the car that hit the cruiser, Shariff Green, 27, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, negligent operation and speeding.
